I'm just excited to get what seems to be one of the best, non-custom made, loop switchers out there. |

Dead silent, and very clean. I can only imagine how sweet the bigger models are. At some point I may go with the 1@3, or 3@1, I forget which is which.

I use it more for ambient loops and samples.
So, I'd like to be able to create the ambiance, and then use a combination of switchers to keep the loop going, but take my active signal out of that route.

I would use an active blending circuit (active mini mixer or DIY blend circuit) to combine the clean signal and looped signal; and an A/B/Y switcher to direct my bass into the clean, loop, or both signal paths. |

A --> clean path
B --> loopstation
Y --> both clean and loopstation paths
Loopstation out --> minimixer input 1
clean path --> minimixer input 2
Mixer mono output --> amp
I think a Boss LS-2 will work as a mixer in this application. You definitely need an active mixer, a passive one will not do. |

from what i gather, i would be spitting at the a/b, having clean and loop paths in parallel and bringing them back together into the (possible) LS-2, which can control the level of both clean and loop path inputs, which would then lead into the next stage of my signal path.
why is an active one necessary? and the difference between the two?
thanks for your input bongo, its appreciated.

Passive mixers cause the signals to load each other down, causing tone loss and potentially feedback. Active mixers isolate the signal sources, preventing interference. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
