Lenny Kravitz Fly Away Tone

This may sound a bit weird, but does anyone have any advice for achieving that scoopy slap and pop sound that the bassist has in Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz? I've got a Line 6 PODxt Live and I've messed around a little bit with some Auto Wah but I can't quite get that scoopy tone. I get a more happy pop sound.

Woah. I searched Google before for "Lenny Kravitz Fly Away bass tone" and didn't find anything. Nice search query.

Sorry for the post and thanks for the link.

Ah, see you need to search from within this forum and all that query goodness comes freely and easily! The in-built google search is often better than the standard forum search.
