I do know that in a live situation that ultra quick set up and changes are very important ... knowing every knob position and combination setting is a must.
I'm sure Jimmy has every pre-set and position memorized ... I only make very small changes in the gain and output knobs on the Voodoo Bass ... that's it
You have the advantage of many pedals, thus minimal if any adjustment should be needed ... I know a guitar player like that, with a huge board, and he has complete control over it knowing all of the settings, his playing and control over his board is seemless, total master of the board. ... Again very nice board!

Actually, my B2 had me floundering last week because I added too many presets all at once. I have this bad habit of working new gear into the show immediately, and it really came back to bite me on the butt with the B2. From now on, only one new preset at a time, and I will not add a new one until I get the previous one mastered, because I really have no clue what I'm doing with it.
But thanks for the compliment just the same...I won't tell if you don't

I don't memorize my settings though, I mark each pedal's 'perfect' positions with pin striping tape. When I drag it out all it takes is a quick glance to see what needs adjusting or when giving the demos it's really easy to get back to my preferred settings after twiddling with the knobs.

| | | After flailing around with my 4 pedals on stage during setup, i decided to do something about it.
:: The Ingredient ::
its important to note that the glue is a special kinda glue that helps stick fabric - plastic and plastic - metal together.
line the base of the laptop bag with velcro, using the soft bit.
line the bottom off the pedals with velcro too, opposite alignment - so as it sticks in stronger.
DONE!!
a laptop bag is rather convenient as i can stuff everything else on the other side
cheers!

And extra bonus cool points on your cat, I've NEVER seen stripes that bold and black on a domestic cat before.

here's my final set up for now. sold the rest of my pedals to finance my upcoming custom bass.

I had some aluminum channel left over from a job that just about fit perfectly around some 1x2 I had in the garage. The boards are lifted up about 3/4" by a second layer of 1x2 on the bottom. The three center strips of wood on each board aren't screwed tight, which allows me to fudge them around a bit when my connectors aren't treating me with the love they ought to. The board with the BMS and Muff'n have some hinged handles that swing around and allow me to stack the second board on top and jam it in a suitcase for easier traveling. The second pic shows the stacking, but with a previous version of the board.
Yes you can power a BMS, HOG, Muff'n, and a G2.1u off a PP2+....but just barely. |

Pedaltrain clone with some modifications. Added additional shelf for power strip, always-on pedals (currently only eq), and custom loop box. Actually this setup havent changed for ~2 months, and i cant see any reason why it should change in near future.
To move it around i use keyboard bag, i modified it a bit, so i have pockets for volume and expression pedals.

here is my first attempt of a pedal board. there is alot wrong with it; heavy, to big, no transport case, the layered design and the biggest problem is the walls on either side, making it a pain to plug cables into. but there are some good things aswell, like the hiden power board underneath and despite the lack of functionality i like how it looks.
i am beggining a new build that will basicly just be a pt mini rip off. ill paint it red and my 1spot will be zip-tied on the top. you'll see it in a month.
