Based it on a Pedal Train i guess:

But i put little wooden hinges on it so it sits flat in the box for storage, but sits up at lid level when im using it.

Box:

The pedals so far:

Although im actually thinking about cutting out all the pedals that i wouldnt use live (at the moment anyway) like the MD-3 and POG, then i could make a much smaller lighter board.

And here I thought you meant - Circuit Boards.

I'm on a totally different plane.

Which - I'll be displaying UNLESS I can find a good source for relatively cheap custom boards.

That's a good idea for a thread. Have people on here show the guts of their homemade pedals unless they don't want to of course.

It'd just be interesting to see how many people around here are capable of producing quality pedals who don't actually have a pedal company of their own.

Wanna sell it?

Sorry, I'm going to strip off the hardware for use on other projects. The board & lid themselves will probably get trashed/recycled...

i don't see why people don't just get an fx station and use the fx from them such as the korg ax3000b or the line 6 bass pod xt live, they contain all tuner and other fx, works out cheeper tehn buying loads of seperate pedals as well, and if theres something that you use alot but don't like just get a seperate pedal to attach so then going off the ax3000b you would have spent around £135 on all the fx you use + instead of about £250 on the seperate pedals you use

More features and tweakability. I like options.

Better quality effects (for the most part), able to customize, better selection, and perhaps most important to me, if one effect goes down I still have the rest of them. If the mult-ieffects unit craps out you're **** outta luck.

Different strokes for different folks....

I've never found a multi-fx that didn't
a) have sub-standard sounding effects
b) didn't totally kill my clean (bypassed) tone

Of course, your experience may be different.

Very cool! There aren't enough metal boards out there! Especially homemade.

I had an ME 50b for a couple of years, but I found that I wanted a more versatile and better tracking octave, and all the auto wah settings were terrible. My HOG / Micro QTron can not be recreated with the ME50b. Heck even my Small Stone has a nicer tone than the Phaser on the Boss, although it was a closer match. I really liked the distortions, though.

The footprint was an issue, too. If I wanted to try any other effects with it, there was this monolith I had to bring along. It's not a bad unit, I just started to want more flexibility with my tone(s).

The last time I used carpet (It's not really carpet) I got it from Home Depot. I can't remember what it's called exactly but it's the same stuff that car stereo shops use to cover sub cabinets.

I called New York Case Company yesterday about making a case for mine. I'm in no hurry though so it's on the back burner for the time being. Here's the board itself as of a couple days ago:

And here it is with a few of the pedals on it for scale:

Now I just need to work on how I want to chain everything together.

Smile Here she is!

well, I've been planning on posting this for a while, but I've only got time today.

so, here's my board:

and the plate on the side: (in, out, power)

and a 'gutshot', ash framework:

the whole thing opens up so that all the wiring and power goes inside, leaving the top super tidy

The material on top is some kind of mesh-faced foam, whatever it is, it holds velcro great! All I have to do is put a slit in it with a craft knife, thread the wire through and Job's a good'un!

I'm in the process of making a lid and painting the whole thing black, more pics coming soon!
