| Lexicon Jam Man looper and Novation Bass Station : Midi clock synched loops?

My band has been going through growing pains and we all are just as much big fans of dance music as we are crushing guitar music. we are a heavily effected guitar, bass, and drums setup with all instruments treated to sound "synthy" in a variety of ways.
I have a Novation Bass Station that I use with a set of Fatar Midi Bass pedals. I'm still pretty new to synths and am trying to figure out out an akward use of midi clock.
I currently use an Akai Headrush E2 loop pedal to loop ambient effected bass guitar washes, I'd like to synch it to my Novation Bass Station rack unit that has midi in/out/thru and CV inputs to have the loops trigger synth bass voices and keep both in time. The Headrush doesn't have midi out controls so I'm looking at buying a Lexicon Jam Man rack looper which has a midi output option to synch to a midi clock device, it can trigger any midi synth to keep it in time with my loops. The Novation Bass Station manual states it can be "synchronized to the midi clock", which seems to admit that it has a clock inside and that I could use the Jam Man as a sequencer to trigger it.
From what I understand in the manaul for the looper, it "recognizes and transmits midi signals" and mentions it can "automatically set a drum machine so that 8 midi quarter notes fit in perfectly with a loop", so I'm assuming it does sends midi notes and that I wouldn't need a separate sequencer.
The idea is to have a be able to loop effected textural bass guitar created melodies and have the Bass Station produce synthesized simple basslines underneath in the same timing.
This is an idea I've had for a long time to keep my bass synth and loops in the same timing. Listening to New Order during your entire office shift all week doesn't help much. :}
Is this possible?
