Here's the idea:
An LFO Controller (like the LFOModBox by Robot Factory) with an expression pedal input, when bypassed the expression pedal signal would go straight through. The LFO circuit should have a microcontroller for tap tempo and when active the expression pedal should control the division of the tempo (half-time/double-time/etc) basically like what Taylor is proposing for the Bubble Chamber.
This would be waaaay over my head to make but I was wondering if you guys knew anyone that would/could do it. I'm still going to buy the Bubble Chamber whenever Taylor releases it, im just gassing for this effect pretty hard. |

That's why I never purchased one. But even a basic MIDI controller like a Behringer FCB1010 (which is much larger) still costs $100 and has no built in LFO and is MIDI only.
As far as the size is concerned it doesn't look to me to be much bigger than an expression pedal plus some secondary LFO box with some controls, ins/outs, and a footswitch or two. Not like comparing a BOSS sized pedal to a FCB1010 or something.
Note this is why many peeps just have an expression to control effects. It's cheap and easy. |

Not bashing the MP-201, if I had the cash and the room I would buy it in a heart beat, im just looking for a really custom solution.

Always pros and cons. |

I've already emailed the guy about it and he's willing to do everything but the tap tempo, which is fine... I was asking the TB knowledge base before I committed to it. |

He's done a ton of custom stuff, he has put tap-tempo in pedals before, he might be able to whip this up for ya. Plus, he's a really cool guy. |

If you do custom it'd be super awesome to be able to plug the expression directly into the LFO box. Then allow the expression to control the rate when LFO is enabled in addition to tap-tempo (somehow let each override the other, tap tempo a beat and let it ride 4 bars then expression to change the rate then tap tempo the rate back in for a clean beat sync), and pass-thru the expression when LFO is bypassed. |

| | | | had a pal to build a LFO box for me mf-101. he also built a midi to cv convertor which is really useful. we tried wanking the LFO envelopes around in Ableton to control the mooger and it worked beautifully. but if u want that off the shelf, the mp-201 will be your best option. |

| | | | Sorry to bump another one of these threads, but does the LFOModBox have expression pedal in on it or is it just a momentary switch? I emailed Robot Factory, but have yet to hear back and am a little anxious to know if this will work for me or not. |

Get in touch with Adam at copilot fx, he can whip a custom broadcast up for you with any option you need and is a great guy to deal with.
