OK so I get it now. I've been searching for the perfect fuzz, filter, phaser, octave, etc.
It just came to me last night while a/b/c/d'ing the filters I have.
There is no best whatever pedal for me. I need several of each type of pedal because I like something about all of them. Out of the 4 filters I have 3 of them are keepers.......

That's exactly why I can never bring myself to sell a piece of gear that I once found usefull in a band situation cause I never know when I'll need it again.

I cut from 4 to 1 with overdrives, but had to keep 3 filters. They're just all too unique sounding, I get it.

Meanwhile, my pedal collection grows ever weirder and smaller.

Go figure. I'm a master at mini-boards.

Now if I could only make up my mind about pedal #3... the Mistress and Blowtorch will never leave, but I have yet to find the perfect third pedal.

On second thought...
