Line 6 Bass Pod Pro bypass

I am wondering if anyone out there has experience with the Line 6 Bass Pod Pro bypass setting on the Amp Modeling. I am looking at one on ebay, but I want to use it only for the effects, so the bypass for the amp modeling needs to be a true bypass. Does anyone know if it is a true bypass?

If you want it for effects only, look elsewhere. There are much better choices than the BPPro.

Digital multieffect with true bypass? Sorry, doesn't exist (AFAIK). Unless you mod one yourself, that is

And no, don't buy it just because of the effects, they're not that good really. The strength of Line6 is their amp/cab modeling technology which is very good in all POD products (IMO) but the effects are a bit so-so.

So what out there is A: a rack mountable unit, B: is solely a multi-effects processor (or you can turn off the amp modeling) and C: Won't kill my wallet?
