Line 6 Bass POD XT for live shows

Sign in to disble this ad
I am considering purchasing one from a TB'er. I am interested in hearing people's experiences with them in a live situation.

Any and all opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thumbs up

I use the Live XT and have for about 5 years. It can be a bit quirky at times but it really works quite well live. It takes a knack to build the models, I spent hours getting my Entwistle tone model built. But I have to say, its quite good.
When I say it can be quirky, I have had cords move the knobs while playing and it had me wondering what the heck happened. I finally saw it happen once and then it was no longer an issue at least I knew what to check the next time it happened.
I would recommend it and depending on what kind of tone models you want be prepared to spend some time building them. But its well worth it when you get it done. My number 1 suggestion is to start with very small doses of whatever you are adding to the patch. Distortion, chorus, echo, reverb, etc. in very minute increments. I have found most of the patches shared on the web have too much of everything.

I love my bass pod ... but all the stock patches suck. And it takes a while to learn how to make a good patch.

If you need a FB2 I have one in my garage that I used with my BassPod like yours before I got the Live XT.
