Line 6 DL4 / alternative looper question

Sign in to disble this ad
so i've had the DL4 for a while now, and i use it exclusively as a looping pedal along w/ an expression pedal to be able to fade the loop volume in or out without having to bend down. it's a great functional combo. i also love that i can change the speed(/octave) of the playback as well as the direction(reverse), and use those functions quite a bit.

what i don't like about the pedal is the little hiccup that happens when you double click the speed/reverse switch to change the speed -- the same switch is used to change the speed and/or direction - click it once and the speed changes or quickly double click it and the direction changes. only problem is between that first and second click of your double click the speed changes instead of the direction (if you own one and have done this, you know what i mean.)

wondering if anyone can offer any alternative loopers to the DL-4 that have the ability to easily change the speed/octave and the direction(reverse) by way of single stomps (thus avoiding hiccups or double clicking etc). it should also have the ability to fade the loop volume in/out. i don't mind it it requires additional/accessory or expression pedals to do any of what i mentioned either.

thanx!

the line 6 M9 and M13 have separate switches for those but its a bit overkill to only use it for looping.
