I have been out the music scene for awhile and was looking for a new head and found out they are discontinued. Then was looking at the bass pods etc and noticed most of the usual online places did not have any Line 6 items. Did they drop all the bass equipment?

Not sure what you mean about Jews though.
The POD X3 replaced the bass specific POD models. Now the HD series is out, but there are no bass models available yet. |

but yeah I think their only market is 16 year olds! It's like selling that Monkees signature Gretsch guitar in the 60s, only teenage girls watched the show. Bad market. |

It wasn't just for teenage girls, us teenage boys had to watch so we could talk to the teenage girls! Sure wish I could have afforded that Gretsch guitar, though!
But what's the Jews thing all about?

But what's the Jews thing all about? | Hey I'm not discounting just how awesome the Monkees are, and Nesmith can still rock the house! It's just economics |

But what's the Jews thing all about? | I play guitar also and I like the m13 a lot and I played thru a friends HD400 a couple weeks ago and it is awesome. So I was looking at getting something for bass as I have been playing that more as of late and tried to order a HD750 from a local store and they cant get one as they are discontinued. So I thought I would try a pod xt and I noticed MF didn't have any line 6 effects for sale.
I have not been in the loop in in regards to bass so was not sure if they dropped off the map or if they are junk in the bass realm. Last purchase of anything bass related was years ago.

Easy to dial in a tone I like and I love being able to save my settings to a specific channel. I had one of their combo bass amps a while back and liked it too except for the weight. I know Best Buy was carrying the Line 6 bass amps in their stores that sell musical instruments. You might check and see if they still have them in stores or online. BTW I'm 45 not 16.

I would imagine that it would be called either the hd bass or the hb300. other than that, there's pod x3 and the low down amplifiers. speaking of low down amplifiers, I once had a line 6 bass floor pod(which is a floor pedal version of the line 6 low down amplifier) and I have recorded sound samples of it on my soundclick website. here's the link. www.soundclick.com/crystalman85
Feel free to check it out. |

I still use a rack mounted Line 6 Bass Pod pro as the preamp in my main gigging rig and, since I play in a rock covers band, I like being able to change my amp settings to go from an aggressive Ric growl to a really deep dub sound at the click of a button - and everything else in between. It really foes give me the versatility I'm looking for, but it's obsolete. I'm also looking to update it and....well, there's not really any current Line 6 product that fits the bill.
The heads (or the floor pod) don't have enough amp models for my needs - I really need the Vox AC100, the Eden and Acoustic models, and the only current models that offer more than a few amp models are the Pod X3 range. I can't be doing with the kidney bean, so that just leaves the X3 pro which as far as I can tell simply carries over the previous amp models from the Bass Pod XT range, so with both X3s it's like I'm paying for a sophisticated guitar modeller that just has bass capabilities tacked on as an afterthought.
Since I also want to move from a rack mount unit to a pedal board format the only Line 6 option that is open to me is the old Bass Pod Live XT -which is already obsolete.
It's a shame but I really feel that with each product release Line 6 are dropping any really versatile bass options. I guess their market research and sales figures tell them that most people only want the limited choice of bass models in the heads and floor pod
