Line 6 Echo Park Issue

Just picked up a line 6 echo park. It seems like a cool delay, the only problem... I can't get it to turn off. Whenever press the pedal to turn it off, the effect keeps going on. What am I doing wrong?

Is the trails switch on?

Nevermind, I just figured out that you have to push down hard for it to click and turn off. haha
