I just recently took the plunge into mixing/DJ'ing or whatever myself after listening to some dubstep/techno, etc; your stuff really is really inspiring. So far I've got ableton live 8, Akai apc 40, and an M-Audio interface. Planning on getting maschine soon as well. I'm def interested in doing what you guys are already into.
Anyway, good stuff man!

interms of whats going on, the M9 has all the bass parts and is run throught ableton so we can do live side chaining and run a filter for both drums and bass at once.
the only other bit from ableton is the top synth before the drop and one of the rises to the last drop.
lfos are controlled by my foot pedals via ableton so timing with click is perfect...one is set on mix and one on rate of LFO.
the other exp pedals are used to control the sounds via the M9 which you can assign to anything on any of the sounds, i think i had a full octave sweep, reverb and a wave change assigned to one pedal and then you could select anyone or all at the same time...hope this makes a bit of sence and hopefully explains about what we were doing...
about to film a new one now so will post up asap www.fattybassman.com is coming soon
also check out my other project, which i use effects in aswell Submotion Orchestra |

Maybe the most convincing live dubstep I've seen. |

new one is recording, mixed and filmed and will be put up on monday afternoon for you all to check out...
cheers
