Question Lost the plug for my DC Brick

Sign in to disble this ad
Can anyone please tell me, how many amps a 18v replacement plug/adaptor for a Dunlop DC Brick power supply would need to be rated at?

1000mA, 2.1mm barrel, center-negative.

Basically, it's a Boss-style barrel with a 1A current rating.

This should work fine. It's 830mA. I've bought a couple of things from them including their 9V multiway psu and I've always had great service from them.

Cool, cheers Boo I'll see about picking one of those up.

4strings: I'm not too sure if 830Ma will be enough.

Thanks for your input folks

Depending on how the circuit was designed, it most likely doesn't NEED 1A - it probably just has it all on reserve to be used for whatever it powers.

But at 830mA, the current available from each output is reduced, and I'm not sure how it might impact the voltage on the 18VDC outputs. Even though it may not really matter, I'd opt for a 1000mA adapter anyway.
