One of the great advantages of being able to read.
Buyer beware!

Is that auction just a little misleading? There's no outright dishonesty, but there is the unmistakable scent of misdirection. It would definitely help avoid confusion if the photo was of the whole flyer, not just the lower right hand corner of it. I'm not convinced that avoiding confusion is the seller's goal.

Caveat emptor, I guess.

Well, the way I see it, if you're not willing to read the description carefully, it's your loss. The same goes with fine-print in a contract.

Either way, the product description has "8.5 x 11" on there in green print, so there's really no excuse for the buyer's ignorance

I once saw a "playstation portable: original box" on sale for 300 dollars

Even lamer are the sellers who print out zillions of digital copies of something they scanned once, and fail to clearly explain that fact when advertising a "vintage" poster or other vintage paper goods.

Ouch.... I didn't even consider that!

Its bad enough paying that much for a sheet of paper, but if it ended up being a re-print....

Heh, last time I paid $100 for a piece of paper there were certain chemicals on it. (See Bongo's post above.)

There was a Judge Judy episode over this stuff. Some lwomen and her daughter thought they was bidding on a cell phone when she actually only bidding on a photo copy of a that model cell phone.

Judge Judy ruled in the plaintifs favor. It was pretty funny. They guy who sold the paper to them wouldn't show up for the court date so he sent his girlfriend to take the chewing out from Judge Judy. It was really stupid.

You really need to read what you are bidding on

The winner wasn't the only bidder. He beat someone else (maybe a friend of the Seller) by $1.

ouch! you have to make sure you are 100% sure what you are bidding on is what it actually is... obviously this guy didnt, unless he really wanted that poster!!!

You would have to be a total Mug Shot... I guess the bidder deserves what they get

It still sucks though (assuming they didn't want the poster)
