So yes, I am bored and I've got time to kill, so another pedal I just ordered, soundclips when I get it in my hands. In case you haven't seen me babbling on about it, I am a Z. Vex Box of Rock fanatic, it's probably my favorite bass overdrive. The Lovepedal ProValve is in the same vein, a Marshall dirty channel emulator, but this one has a lot more gain available as well as a rhythm and lead channel! Could be just the thing for me that tries to cover all my needs on a small Pedaltrain Jr., typically using about five pedals, and I'm usually stuck trying to use my same rhythm sound for leads, which just doesn't have "enough".

So anyways, if you're like me and you like to play loud distorted bass all the time, you dig the old school Marshall tone, and you want to bust out the occasional distorted lead too, be sure to check out that video link and my forthcoming soundclips of this bad boy. I'm pretty stoked to try it .

Saw this other demo, and I dig it. I think that dude is right, that thing sounds right on with single coils and a fender amp. I'll definitely have to spend some time with it with my Jazz Bass, and I'd like to plug it into my old guitar player's old Fender Bassman, I'm sure it would kill. Thing cleans up real nice too!

Ok, I've got soundclips done, I just need to check them out and see if they turned out ok and upload them. So far this pedal retains the bottom pretty well, like other "Marshall in a box" pedals I've tried, and it sounds pretty good, definitely meant for single coils as I think it likes my Jazz better than my SG. I'm not sure yet if I like this pedal as much as the Box of Rock and Fulltone OCD, I only played it and recorded it at low volume so I'll have to review it some more. As for right now it's going on my board along with my Sparkle Drive so I can test them out and see what I like better at gig volume. Anyway, more to come soon.
