Lovetone Meatball expression pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
A-hoi-hoi. The other thread about an expression pedal mod reminded me to ask...

I've got a Meatwad coming. I see Lovetone recommended the Bespeco VM-18L for the Meatball and I've looked but they're a bit hard to get hold of, so:

Is there an alternative to the Bespeco VM-18L which contains the same amount of electrons, the same radiation levels and whatever other fancy magical specifications are relevant to using it for this purpose?

Cheers. Sorry if my understanding of electronics isn't quite what it could be.

Coincedentally, I am also after a Meatwad and was looking for said expression pedal earlier today and found these:

http://www.bespeco.it/product.php?li...&mac=6&cat=116

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BESPECO-VM19L-...QQcmdZViewItem

Looks like the VM-19L is identical but has a jack socket instead of integrated lead plus an adjustable potentiometer, and the VM-16L will probably work too as it's the same but without the polarity reverse switch (which you may or may not need). They are all 20kOhm pots so any similar pedal to that should do the trick.

Ah, right. FWIW then don't order one from Beckett's Music - they're apparently out of stock and can't get them in for a few weeks. They refunded my order this morning (and hopefully updated their website).

Is that VM19L comparable to the VM18L? They've both got the same number of impedances - is that the universally accepted measurement of expression?

VM19L should work but you'll need a stereo TRS (I think) jack lead to hook it up as it doesn't have a built in cable.
