I just got this and I can see why people say its hard to tame. i've been through a lot of filters and I just sold an mxr bass auto q. I wanted really wet and juicy funk tones. think of phish's free on billy breathes. I know mike uses this but I can't even get close. I almost feel that the mxr is closer to what he sounds like even though he has a meatball. any ideas? I know I could sell this thing and get back what I paid for it if necessary

It's all about the blend on the meatball

it's not about the blend. don't believe the hype. Toasted always post that and in all my experience with the Meatball, the blend was always cranked.

Filter on Mid-Hi, Turned ON (not 1/2), with the Attack a little more than Min., Decay at 10'oclock to Noon, and everything else maxed.

nice quack there.
