LS-2 Mod?

Sign in to disble this ad
Does anyone know where I can get a Boss LS-2 mod? basically I have it set to a + b but would like a foot switch to perform this function then set the ls-2 to a -> b so I can either have both chains on or have just chain a on with out b and vice versa.

Any suggestions?

That's what's always frustrated me about the LS-2. I dealt with it for the last couple of years by adding other outboard switches to it, but now I've commissioned SFX to build me an LS-2 replacement with two footswitches - one for each loop.

I don't know of anyone who can mod it to do what you suggest. I have looked. Maybe speak to Max about the pedal I've ordered from him, which should be top knacker, but it isn't cheap.

Just a quick note to clarify that the pedal I am designing/building for kevteop has some function similarities with the LS-2 but the electronic doesn't have much in common.

Apart from the different electronic, among the other things, the pedal is powered at 9V but internally it runs at 18V for maximum clarity and headroom. The quality of the parts is substantially better, there are no electrolytic or tantalum capacitors in the signal path (like all [sfx] pedals), the jack sockets have gold-plated contacts...

Would the loops be run in parallel on this custom build to the straight 'bypass signal?

Something like this may be of use to me if so. I want to be able to run 2 signals through it in 'always on' mode (clean compressed low and clean compressed high), and switch in a third signal in parallel when required (dirty uncompressed high), all blended together.

Wounded Paw's Super Blender would possible work but it's a bit overkill for such 'basic' functionality.

I would really like one of these pedals. I like the LS-2 a lot, but I agree it's missing an 'A, B, A+B, bypass' setting. A pedal with a switch for loop A and loop B, where the loops are run in parallel would be very useful.

Not to detract from any of the [sfx] stuff.... but Badger effects makes some nice loopers. The 'Schism double looper" looks like a nice replacement for an LS-2.
