LS-2 to select between different basses?

Is it possible to use the Boss LS-2 as an instrument selector? The instructions seem to indicate that the ouptut mode can be used to select amplifiers. Can it be used in reverse? Or can you plug each guitar or bass into the returns of the A and B loop?

Yes, it's possible- stick a bass in either of the returns and you can select between it and the bypass (the first bass).

Brilliant - thanks! And, I assume if you then put a bass into return A and another into return B and use the A-B mode, you can then use the level pots to adjust for volume differences between them? That would seem to be the best route? Is that right?

To do that you'll have to put a jack into the input, even if the jack doesn't have a cord attached, as the pedal won't operate without something in the input.
