What pedal companies still make their stuff in the USA? I think Electro Harmonix does? But not their tubes.

Btw, not that it matters. I own stuff from all countries. Just curious.

EHX pedals are only "made in the USA" by the most loose definition.

Some parts in pedals originate in non-US countries.

Most pedal companies are US-based.

I don't want to get all Theseus's Ship on you, but almost no components for any pedal (and the enclosures/inks/hardware) are manufactured anywhere else than S.E. Asia.

I can tell you why it's important to him, and would absolutely be of no importance to you, Toasted.

[Rant]
For the better part of the last 30 or 40 years, the manufacturing base that made the United States the most vibrant economy in the world has been slowly moving its stuff out of the nation. During this time labor has been put under the thumb of business due to a combination of trade and labor policy.

I'm not going to go into detail - because it's not like you didn't know any of this anyway - but a handful of us are still trying to do what we can with our money to encourage businesses to keep some form of manufacturing in our nation. You said above that EHX is only loosely 'made in USA,' but that is (sadly, IMO) true of damn near every product that is 'made in USA'. That doesn't mean we should just watch all our manufacturing go away with a smile and a wave.

You wouldn't, nor shouldn't, care if something is made in the USA... what with you not living here and all.

[/Rant]

Visual Sound's stuff is made in China now.

Toadworks
Subdecay
MusicElectronix
DeviEver
Catalinbread
I think BBE makes their stuff here, but I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure that Dunlop moved all their stuff overseas, so no to MXR. I haven't been able to confirm this, but my inability to confirm manufacturing locations of their new pedals leads me to default to 'Made In China.'

Good Luck

Businesses do what they must to be competative. We all love good products that are cheaper and we have happily purchased "Made in China" over "Made is USA"

You're absolutely right. Businesses must do what they can to stay competitive. I'm trying to be a small part of making it competitive to stay in America. Unfortunately there's more to the equation than that and I've probably derailed this thread enough already.

Edit:::

When I see that written, it just makes me sad. Not that SE Asia shouldn't have their own manufacturing base, but that the entire rest of the world has sacrificed their manufacturing - their nations capabilities - to try to make a buck in the short term.

Nano bassballs made in N.Y.C. U.S.A. wonder if that means assemble here w/ chineese parts. It seems to be a vicious cycle,Carvin is U.S.A. but I'm sure all those small parts, input jacks knobs, etc. are of Asian origin.I run a small part time buisness, but I deal with mostly used items, but you do what you have to to survive.

Meh, we still don't know anything else other than what OP posted...kinda lacking. Google's a nice search engine for finding out where things are made. I wonder if Google's made in the US...

I'll use whatever I feel is the best product for my needs and preferences. If USA manufacturers build that best product then I'll buy from them. If they do not, I will not.

Easy choice. Same goes with cars, electronics, etc etc etc...

+1 No pedals are 'Made in the US', quite a few are 'Assembled in the US'

guess that's one fine 'construction'....

but.... i failed to notice any price drop in the same product when a manufacturer moves it''s production from his home country to far east one. i notice only drop in quality.....

they are moving production to boost their profit margins not to offer US better and cheaper products.
