Malekko B:Assmaster Etched Enclosure

Maybe this is old news. I searched, but didn't find anything. Anyway, they look cool to me so I ordered one. Now I can finally do a comparison between the Black Cat Bass Octave Fuzz, Bogdan Pole Master, and the B:Assmaster.

Those were very cool looking.

I've been meaning to buy a B:Assmaster for a while. The etched enclosure made me finallly do it.

The only problem is that the etched enclosure only comes in the silicon version. Didn't all the other special editions come in either silicon or germanium?

True, but the etched enclosure is also a smaller run. Besides, it never hurts to ask, Josh has always been reasonably accommodating.

I've heard he is very accommodating.

I was mainly speaking for others with the silicon/germanium comment. I think I'll actually like the silicon better. The germanium clips sound a little muddy to me.

If I were to get an Assmaster I'd get one of these.

It's what finally made me break down and buy one.

So there will be two of them here in Northern California, I wonder where the other eight are headed?

I figure it will look nice next to this:

Add in a couple custom etched pedals and I'll have a nice industrial look to my board.

I bought the real deal back in the late 70s(?), was stolen from our rehearsal room the next day.

Silicon are the best. Seriously.

I dig these, but I want a Swankbox. Should have bought one when they were still around.

This 1,000x. This.

JayFuji did those boxes. You can see his symbol on the face.
Our guitarist has a tinybox fuzz of Jay's. Awesome build.

The silicon is much better I think, much more fun. See is they're offering the expanded frequency range mod with these, my boobies edition has it and it's worth it.

I liked the Germ sound but I think I'll like a Silicon version more. The Germ had a sound great for a industrial/techno sound like The Faint..
