Malekko E600D vs. Malekko Ekko 616

Listening to the soundclips on Malekko site, I am really intrigued with the sound of the E600D on bass. My question is can the 616 attain these dark repeats?

practically any of the newer analog delays made with current-manufacture BBD ICs offer dark-sounding repeats of a similar character. Some are noisier than the E600D, some are not.

Okay, I understand this... any of the current BBD designs CAN do this, but not all do. There is a distinct difference between the E600D and the E600B. It doesn't seem to me like the 616 does.
