I'm guessing either the margin must not have been great on the Ekkos or the 616 really ate into sales, because it seems to me they are different enough from the 616 that both could continue to be offered.

I'm probably more surprised by the Spring Chicken though. Why retire it after less than a year? Opinions of it online seemed to be very good.

NOOOOOO!!!! I love my 600D, I just had some kick ass oscillation sessions with it this weekend.....I can't be as rough on it now that it might be extinct......

On another forum, he said something to the effect of wanting to design something more original, the Spring Chicken was based on a module that a lot of other people were using (There is a kit available that will basically do the same thign for a third of the price apparently). Also, he has another design about to be launched called the "Chicklet"

That's a shame but the 616 basically does what they do.
