Well, I think it's time to get this thread started. We've already been teased by Malekko's announcement. I'm excited to see/hear this thing.

Do we even know what this pedal is yet?

Well, we know it's got a name. But no doubt the TB-hype machine is about to kick in.

God help us when Josh posts a picture.

If the plaster casters made vibrators(or did they not vibrate -I have no idea, but I'm grasping for straws here) out of celebrities "organs", one might reason that it's either a vibrato? or a ring modulator to simulate vibes? or a RotoVibe clone? or something that makes a bass sound like an organ?

I hope I've gone down the complete wrong path with all this.

Well, you're certainly to a start!

I really I wish I knew just generally what this thing is going to be. I'm thinking about getting a B:assmaster, but if this turns out to be a fuzz or something, I may wait off to see what its like.

Malekko is starting to sound like a pron shop more than anything.

Could be a sample and hold effect, like you get on a couple of the Boss Multi-FX units, or a delay or octaver, something that takes a 'plaster cast' of your note. That's all I can think of!

If I'm right, do I win one?

Maybe there are clues in the song?

"Plaster Caster"
Babys getting anxious, the hours getting late
The night is almost over, she cant wait
Oh, things are complicating, my love is in her hands
And theres no more waiting, she understands

The plasters gettin harder and my love is perfection
A token of my love for her collection, her collection

Plaster caster, grab a hold of me faster
And if you wanna see my love, just ask her
And my love is the plaster
And yeah, shes the collector
She wants me all the time to inject her

The plasters gettin harder and my love is perfection
A token of my love for her collection

Plaster caster, plaster caster
Grab a hold of me faster, plaster, faster
And if you wanna see my love, just ask her, ask her
Go on, ask her

The plasters gettin harder and my love is perfection
A token of my love for her collection, her collection

Plaster caster, plaster caster
Grab a hold of me faster, plaster, faster
If you wanna see my love, just ask her, ask her

Plaster caster, plaster caster
She wants my love to last her, last her, last her
And she calls me by the name of master, master

Plaster caster, plaster caster
Grab a hold of me faster, plaster, faster
If you wanna see my love, just ask her, ask her

Plaster caster, plaster caster
Grab a hold of me faster, plaster, faster
And if you wanna see my love, just ask her, ask her
Plaster caster, plaster caster

Nvm, I'm confusing it with the Holley Erectus I think.

Maybe the Plaster Caster is some sort of ringtone emulator...

I don't care what it does, with a name like that I wants it.

Now that's goooood marketing Malekko.

Well, I just asked him, and it's definitely not a fuzz. I'm sure none of you guys thought it was going to be one anyway, but I'd be safe to get my B:assmaster, if I don't change my mind between today and...well, later today.

Bit-crusher might fit the description though. My bits would probably get a bit crushed if I took a plaster cast of them...

Hrmmm. I think a "sample and hold" effect fits the name. but i dont see how that's specifically bass-y.

No, don't use the Plaster Caster on your bits. You must use it on a Holley Erectus, that's what it's for.

(Okay, this isn't my joke but some other TBer, credit to that guy. Legally my post is in order now.)
