Malekko Sequencer

I didn't notice this being mentioned when I did a search. A pedalboard sequencer prototype from Malekko. It starts getting really interesting in the second vid:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTaLUZi8jVU

I don't think I'd have a use for it, but I imagine it could be a cool addition to some space/noise pedalboards.

BTW, Josh Holley- you're a fruitcake

Judging by the crazy-ass effects half the people use here it'd be safe to assume that

Forgive my ignorance - do you play a note and it... plays off of that note like a seek-wah?

I so confuse (but it seems great)!

I'm not even sure if it's really an "effect pedal" - more of a programming device for synthesizers.

But I haven't watched all the vids yet

It does have 1/4" ins and footswitches, so a bassist could most likely use it whether it's intended for that or not.

I guess, if your bass is control voltage activated.

Man, that guy in the video sure sounds awesome!!!

Okay, the idea fro you crazy stringed instrument players is this. Look for pedals that have CV...there arent a whole lot of them but all Moogerfoogers, and some small companies like Malekko are now doing CV on their pedals...and sometimes EXP jacks work too, like my Fozrox TZF. Anyway you could have a Murf equivalent except fully programmable, or a ringtone that you can tap a rhythm into...it's capable of some wild stuff...and is fully intended to have effect pedals being controlled by it and a bass or guitar running through the effects.

Or you can hook up your voyager, SH-101, ARP Odyssey, or any CV synth and go do a show..it has sequence storage, tap tempo, tap rhythm, live mode for improv, randomization for not only step, but for note length... We've been working on this for almost 2 years...i'm hoping to have a final prototype for NAMM, it now has a 2 digit display to let you know what sequence youre on...

John (the other guy in the seq video) has taken over the Erectus, he is a bigger synth nerd than i am, he is a real live engineer, that used to work for NASA, Kurzweil, and now Dell. He is designing a better filter, it'll be a real bit crusher instead of the analog one we did. So it'll be noise free (unless you dont want it to be) the S&H section will also have tap tempo too. I actually talked with John tonight about it...we are hoping to have it done for NAMM too.
I swear we're working hard!!!

Malekko is fast becoming my main GAS buildup.

Is this the winter NAMM or summer?

Awesome, genuine bitcrushing is MUCH more appealing to me than analog degeneration.

That's a feature I have always wanted. The Ooh-Wah sort of approximates that, but it misses the boat on some other points, so it did not fulfill my wish.
