The Many faces of BFJE Blueberry (Tons of Clips)

YAMUM

So I thought I'd do some clips with a difference. Instead of getting a pedal and running it through all its knob variations, I thought I'd take a pedal stick in one setting and instead record clips of it moving through various genres of music.

So this is my fav, BFJE Blueberry, tone control at 3, gain at 10, volume at 12. Here a bunch of musical styles (you need to imagine the drums, they usually dictate genre), a few of my fav overdriven basslines covered and some mixing with other effects.

NOTE - These clips are recorded from my bass straight into my interface. There is no amp and not even a DI, so if you like these sounds, it only gets better once you add an amp. Using a MIA Deluxe Fender Jazz with a few upgrades.

Clips

Heres an example of my fairly weak line-in sound with thumb/picking/fingerstyles.

Here is some pick punk

Here is dancey stuff

Here is some soft thumb/finger playing

Here is some drop C stoner rock

Covers

Here is some NIN

Here is some Kasabian

With other Effects

Motive

Hopefully I've given atleast one person GAS for this frustratingly hard to obtain pedal

Edit: Here's a rar file oll the clips under 5mb if putfile is lame.

!

The Angler works best in the mix, without a doubt. I've heard better solo-tones, but in the band is where it sets it self apart in my opinion.

My computer doesn't seem to want to play those clips. But I will say possibley the only downside to the Blueberry is that it is colourful. Might not always suit a mix because it always sounds like a blueberry. Thats great if you like the sound though, for recording its tone is just excellent. But yeah, I am on the Angler waiting list (well down I'd say) and I've got a Barber LTD SR on the way to scratch my light overdrive itch until then.

You do those clips, Toasted? Or were they done by someone else for that site?

If you can't get putfile to work, I've upped a rar file of all the clips. It's only 5 mbs.
