about 45 mins over the phone . . . I just ordered it today but they said it should be here in 5 business days. I'll keep you updated.

Btw, they're willing to price match Guitar Center's deal ($20 off of a $100 purchase, $50 off of $300 purchase) if you ask. I figured that the used MB Cs don't come up on the classifieds all that often, and when they do it's a minor price reduction. With this you get it new for $180 shipped.

Glad to know you got it. But it's kind of odd to know that people have problems buying Mark Bass in Canada, since their International rep, Peter Murray, works out of Toronto.

Quote straight from Musician's Friend's website:

"We're happy to offer no-hassle shipping (view policy) on over 35,000 top-quality music gear products to The Great White North, including the Province of Quebec! "

MF, GC, and Music123, all owned by the same people, all offer shipping to Canada. They all have their own fees, take a look at their websites to figure it out. Being close to the USA/Canada border I opted to ship it to a US box, and then bring it across the line myself. It saves on shipping surcharges.

I decided to buy from the US because of the better exchange rate and price matching. Long and Mcquade (the "Guitar Center" of Canada) sells it for $240, but I got it for way less than $200 from Music123 (i bought $312 worth of stuff and got $50 off), and it's only special order at L+M, and it'll be a while. Music123 price matched and has it in stock. Easy decision.

That's very bizarre. I have bought lots of things online and never had a manufacturer restriction. Have you looked on Ebay?

Wow IMO the mb comp is worth it. If you're close to the border just have it shipped to a box across the line and pick it up. Hell even ship it to my box, I'll pick it up and ship it to you.
