Nah, I think he's talking about contacting MarkBass as a group and making a large purchase in the hopes of getting a large-volume discount.

Yeah, I'd managed to work that part out myself.

I was just (not too helpfully, perhaps) owning up that I'd been waiting impatiently for this pedal to be available here in the States, so as soon as I saw they were available yesterday I ordered one. You folks who can stand to wait on a group buy are made of sterner stuff.

Unless you put up numbers in the Guitar Center/Sam Ash range, I doubt they would be interested in going around their established network.
Its akin to calling up General Motors and asking if we could get a big discount on 25 Malibu's. Even if it were a possibility, they would still make you use their dealer network. Maybe some of you GC-SamAsh employees can ask your boss if he would give a discount on a big order. Paid in advance, it might go over with the managers because it would still be 25 (or more?) pedals, moved at once.
