MarkBass Super Synth Trade presets

Sign in to disble this ad
I am interested in hearing what others have come up with for presets. I was wondering if you can send the saved presets files? LIke by email. I have looked in the MarkBass folder to see if I could find the files ( the user saved presets) but I dont them.
Anyone know where on your computer the super synth preset files are located? Anyone know what their called? like filename.MBS whatever

thanks

Great. Still trying to find where the markbass application stores the user made presets on your computer. They gotta be there somewhere. If I knew the naming convention like filename. XXX i could find them easily.

They're all at C:\ProgramData\Markbass\Markbass Pedal Controller\Presets\
They open with any text editor and follow a pretty straightforward xml format.
Quote:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<MarkbassDigitalPedalPreset type="synth" version="1">
<param name="synthMode" value="0"/>
<param name="synthNoteOnLevel" value="20.9160004"/>
<param name="synthNoteOffLevel" value="7.56000137"/>
<param name="synthAmpDynamic" value="45.6119995"/>
<param name="synthFilterDynamic" value="56.9519997"/>
<param name="synthCutoff" value="13.104002"/>
<param name="synthResonance" value="63"/>
<param name="synthLevel" value="60.249939"/>
<param name="synthMix" value="37.2959976"/>
<param name="synthTone" value="0"/>
<param name="synthOsc1DetuneCoarse" value="20.3225803"/>
<param name="synthOsc1DetuneFine" value="32"/>
<param name="synthOsc1Amp" value="49"/>
<param name="synthOsc1Pan" value="32"/>
<param name="synthOsc2DetuneCoarse" value="32"/>
<param name="synthOsc2DetuneFine" value="34"/>
<param name="synthOsc2Amp" value="32.7599983"/>
<param name="synthOsc2Pan" value="32"/>
<param name="synthOsc3DetuneCoarse" value="44.3479996"/>
<param name="synthOsc3DetuneFine" value="28.4516125"/>
<param name="synthOsc3Amp" value="40.0680008"/>
<param name="synthOsc3Pan" value="32"/>
<param name="synthAttack" value="5.5439992"/>
<param name="synthRelease" value="8.06400108"/>
<param name="synthPortamento" value="0"/>
<param name="synthEnvelope" value="0"/>
<param name="octaverOct1Level" value="0"/>
<param name="octaverOct2Level" value="0"/>
<param name="octaverOctaveUpLevel" value="0"/>
<param name="octaverDryLevel" value="0"/>
</MarkbassDigitalPedalPreset>
This way you can access the components of the synth presets to get ideas.
Files are small enough to be posted as attachments.
Now if we could get a bit more advanced and get into the guts of this beast.
I wonder if other types of oscillators could be at least emulated.

Found a folder called Presets. Looke like just one in there? I have saved a few.
Anyway I did my first gig with it last night. Another tonight. I did not like how it sounded. Way to buzzy and ugh. We play a lot of dance music and I bought this to cover keyboard synth of course.
Anyone have a preset they made that sounds at al similar to Black Eyed Peas "I got a feeling?"
Has anyone actually traded presets here?
MAn if I could get a preset for that type sound soon so I can use it tonight that woiuld be huge! I have used an Ibanez SB7 and a BSY600. I know how to play clean- sometimes with pick and sometimes with finger style. I know how to mute and cut my notes so it is not my tecnique. I have got the notes slurring together better.
Thank you !

Spent some time programing. I have to say I am dissapointed in the ADSR. You cannot get a plucked or click type of attack. I assumed with a true ADSR filter you could do that. Basically this synth has one sound and its a mushy.
Anyone know if markbass plans on a software update? It appears its possible. Are there enough users here to start psuhing markbass for some things like a faster attack and release time?
Thanks!
