Marshall Sound In a Pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
I recently plugged my Ric into my friends JCM 800 to get a gnarly Lemmy tone. Does anyone have any suggestions on a pedal to semi replicate the sound.

I use a LMII and DR.Bass 2x12.

Marshall Guv'nor pedal nails it perfectly. Get an older one. Check your PM.

Also, just to provide a contrasting viewpoint, the Zvex Box of Rock does a very convincing Marshall sound. Vex even demo'd it against a Marshall in the video on his website. Just an idea.

Muff'n is a cool pedal. Second to the VT bass as my favorites.

That particular Marshall tone is captured in a variety of different pedals, with varying degrees of sucess. I gotta +1 the Zvex Box-o-Rocks. Very convincing.

+1 To the Guv'nor. My guitarist bought one until he got his peavey footswitch fixed so I've aquired it now and it nails that tone. Sounds amazing in front of the Holy Grail Reverb as well.

The Tech21 British pedal was my first thought. I haven't tried it, but I love my VT Bass.
