Maxon AD-9...incorrect price???

Sign in to disble this ad
So I am looking up the Maxon AD-9, and I come across this: http://www.amazon.com/Maxon-AD-9-PRO.../dp/B001BQ9HR4

I'm not really knowledgeable about Maxon effects, but is this price correct? All other prices ran around $300 or so, but $112!?!? Just want to know because I'm thinking about snagging one of these up.

HOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

They usually run $290 to $340 depending on source... that is indeed a mistake. Snag one and flip it if you can swing it!

It almost looks like perhaps they mixed up the Maxon AD-9 with the Ibanez AD-9. But that would still be a good price for the Ibanez.

Well, if I buy this and end up with an Ibanez, can I demand the Maxon? haha That would be false advertising would it not?

Yes. Yes it would. At the very least they'd have to refund your money.

The adcopy from the bottom is definitely from the Maxon AD-9. The only thing fishy about it (other than the price) is that one of the bullets under "Product Features" says, Adjustable repeats, 10-300 milliseconds delay time" when the Maxon actually has a max delay time of 450 ms.

it also lists it as a direct sale from Amazon... not a 3rd party. It lists Godlyke as the distributor (which is who handles Maxon stuff).

Thinking about grabbing one of these too for my delay shootout. If nothing else, Amazon's always pretty cool about doing returns.

I don't have a need for another delay. Not only that, but I don't use self-oscillation and therefore generally go digital so that I can have tap tempo AND I told myself I wasn't spending any more money on effects in 2009.

Despite all that I REALLY had to force myself to close the Amazon window and not buy one.

I can't do it. It's obviously an incorrect price and Amazon has been extremely good with any returns. Gotta keep the good karma flowing.

That one must have been mine, because when I purchased it the site said 5. They must be going fast!

The link I clicked said $337.50. Good karma aside, I hope it worked out for you before they fixed it.

They can still be had at $112. I JUST clicked the link, and although the primary advertised pedal is $337 at Musicians Friend, if you look to the right, there is a small section at the top for other vendors, and when I was just there, Amazon was listed. The Amazon price was $112.

yeah but that's just because the index hasn't updated. Look on amazon's site, and the price is back up to normal...

I guess we're about to see a handful of 'like new' AD-9s show up on eBay...
