I saw a thread announcing that this was in the works, but hadn't seen a thread on it now that it's apparently for sale.

I was pretty interested when I heard about it, but that price tag is too much for me.

That price is very high, and I feel that people will be put off by it, myself included.

I wish I could have recorded my face so you guys could have seen my reaction to the price. It was an intense look of "What-the-*****-key".

That flanger better sound incredible!

One alternative may be the Airplane Flanger from Ibanez

http://www.ibanez.com/Electronics/model-AF2

It's just gotta be cheaper than the Maxon!

Also - the Barracuda from Toadworks - http://www.toadworksusa.com/

Or the A/DA Flanger reissue http://ada-fx.com/

Those are doubtless excellent, but none of them have the envelope-following feature of the Maxon.

I've never tried the original Jetlyzer, but from everything I'd read I was interested to try the reissue. But I suspected it would be in the low $200 range like most of the 9 series.

There are samples at www.maxon.co.jp

One is on bass, and IMO it isn't gas inducing to the point where I'd be willing to drop that kind of coin.

I would love to try it just for that reason.

Are there any other flangers with an envelope follower?

One reason is printed on top of the pedal: bucker brigade delay chips. And not the new Chinese ones, either.
