Maxon Jetlyzer Reissue and other new Maxon effects

There's some info on the old Maxon Jetlyzer, a distortion/phaser combo thing. I have it from my brother that Maxon is reissuing the Jetlyzer, and they've managed to fit it into a nine series sized pedal. This interests me as it's been awhile since I've done anything fun with some fuzz/phase sounds, and I thought it was worth sharing.

Has anyone else heard anything about a Jetlyzer reissue or have any experience with the original Jetlyzer? I do like bass fuzz/phase sounds.

Also, and these are up on the Maxon site here:

http://www.maxonfx.com/Nine_TBO9.php
http://www.maxonfx.com/Nine_TOD9.php

looks like the smallest form factor tube based pedals I've ever seen. Not sure if they'd be cool on bass, but it's definitely interesting.

Where'd your brother hear that from?

And I'm honestly not too sure how well it'd work in Nine series pedal. I mean, there's basically two different modes to it to switch on, so that would need two switches I would think.

Nevertheless, I am very interested.

Tube pedals look awesome, the TOD-9 looks most useful for bass because it is a little simpler, and can give you a cleanish tube tone.

Well, I guess as a registered Maxon user he received a flyer from Maxon regarding some of their new products. Of course the tube pedals which are already on the Maxon site were on there, but my brother says the flyer also says they're reissuing the Jetlyzer, and it doesn't make sense to me either but he says it was in a nine series enclosure. A search didn't turn up any discussion about this elsewhere, but I thought I'd share it with this forum and see if anyone else knew anything. Has my interest too and even with as little information as I have I would consider this for a possible future purchase.

Yeah, those are some interesting tubes in those things too, and I'm curious as to how they'll sound.

Maxon usually doesn't put out crap effects, so I'm definitely interested.

They're calling it the Vintage Jet Riser, but the ad claimed that it is a reissue of the Jetlyzer, just with a new name.

The flyer apparently came with an order my brother put in direct to Godlyke, who I guess distribute Maxon pedals, right?

Oh, and this pedal:

http://www.maxonfx.com/Nine_PAC9.php

Is supposedly new too, though it's a reissue of something that was only discontinued several years ago.

I got some literature on the new pedals last month from a guy at Maxon... I was real interested in the VJR9 until I heard the clips @ the .jp site. The new chorus sounds killer though!

Yeah, the Jetlyzer was a fuzz/phase effect from what I've read, and those clips are definitely a flanger... so not as cool. Not even a flanger effect that I really like. Oh well.

But uh, question for you James, do you happen to have any experience with the Maxon PT9 phaser? This one, of course:

http://www.maxonfx.com/Nine_PT9.php

I am a little interested in that one.

Thanks for getting me disappointed, James.

I think it sounds cool. But I'm definitely looking for a phaser, not a flanger, which is what that totally was.

It's my favorite phaser!

Thanks for the info James! I'll have to check that out if I get the chance. I'm trying to talk my brother into the chorus, if I can I'll snatch it from him and do some clips. But my brother is a little funny when it comes to pedals.
