ME-20B

I have a Boss ME-20B that I use with an Ampeg SVT-3 Pro.
I use it in the effects loop and am having a problem with it producing a lot of noise. I use an AC adapter and am careful where I plug it in but it happens all the time. I can reduce it by turning down the level on the unit but it has a real adverse affect on my amp sound.
If anyone is using this effects unit I would appreciate some advice. I am experimenting with it this week in preparation for our gig on Sat.

It's not supposed to go in the fx loop. That loop is for line-level rackmount gear. The Boss, which runs at instrument level, is supposed to go inline between bass and amp. Try that and see if the noise is solved.

+1 for above advice. Also try ditch the power supply & use it on batteries if your still in trouble using the inline method.

Points of interest: I use the ME-50B & the ME20B. I find the chorus on the 20B far better, there is no noise suppressor on the 20B there is one on the 50B.
