Memory Boy Vibrato Volume Drop?

Sign in to disble this ad
My Memory Boy has a very noticeable volume drop when using it as a vibrato.

Settings:
Delay 0%
Blend 75-100% (wet)
Depth 60-70 %
Feedback 0%

Is this normal for this pedal? It really sucks because I love the vibe modulation sound. Very boss VB-2 like.

I pretty much only found myself using the Memory Boy for the vibrato section. Never noticed a volume drop. Keep the blend at 100%

Hmmm...
It must be a hit or miss thing like the self oscillation. I don't understand why the EHX calibration of these things is so all over the board.

Anyone else have experience with this issue.
I really like both the delay and vibe sounds on the pedal.
But the volume drop on the vibe killed it for me. I took my last unit back.
If others do not notice the drop on there unit I might try again.

(I know it's been a while since anyone has posted in this thread, I know this isn't helping the issue.)

After playing with my BP90, I've been wanting a good Vibrato pedal, lately. Is the Memory Boy any good for this? I've also been wanting a Delay for a while now, too.

If you're not going to actually use it for a delay, I think you'd be better off getting a dedicated vibrato pedal. Check out the Malekko Vibrato, and also the BBE Mindbender.

Cool beans. I'll check 'em out.
