What is the difference between Memory Boy and Deluxe Memory Man, except the Memory Boy being cheaper and having a few more control options?

Any one who can help out here? There must be some reason the DMM is more expensive yet having a few less control options.

The Memory Man uses high quality out of production BBD chips that Electro-Harmonix bought up, as well as a different overall design. Anyone that has played both will tell you that the sound quality of the Deluxe Memory Man is much more lush and "3-D", which is why people still happily pay the premium for them. The Memory Boy series was EHX's way of breaking into the budget analog delay market, and I personally think they offer great options for the money. If tone is your first concern though, the Deluxe Memory Man is definitely tops!

The Deluxe Memory Boy at the moment does offer more control options than just about any other analog delay around, especially for the price point, but EHX is supposedly going to be releasing a new Deluxe Memory Man w/ Tap Tempo in the next couple of months that promises to have the tone of the Man, with all the extra control options of the Deluxe Boy. I know I am anxiously awaiting it personally, having owned and sold a Deluxe Memory Boy (loved the options, but always looking for the greener grass!). Who knows what the price point will be on this thing though- I will also add that Malekko should also be releasing their 919 delay, which is also an analog delay with tap tempo, by summer...both pedals were introduced at Winter NAMM this last year, and there is a shrt teaser video on youtube with the EHX...

Your wait is over...Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Boy Analog Delay w/ Tap Tempo or Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Boy Analog Delay With Tap Tempo

I understand your confusion given their imilar titles, but I was talking about the Deluxe Memory Man with Tap Tempo! (I owned and sold a Deluxe Memory Boy already) :
EHX.com | Deluxe Memory Man w/Tap Tempo - Delay | Electro-Harmonix
