Anyone wanna help me out im trying to find a raspy sound that doesnt sound too overdriven, like and august burns red tone, or parkway drive tone anyone have an idea what i should use to sound like that? |

I can't say I can think of the tone of those bands, but that sounds a lot like what you want.

I would suggest getting a nice set of DR LoRiders, Elixers, or Curt Mangan strings and set it up with a low action. A very slight amount of fret buzz and "clicks" will give you more of a dirty tone that you're probably looking for. |

If I remember, it was an Ibanez SRX into a Tech21 BDDI set for mild drive into a Mesa/Boogie Big Block 750/8x10 rig. I wish I could remember what he was using the last time I saw them. |

what should i be making the eq on the amp and the knobs be set 2 on the bass driver to get that metalcore tone? |

Set the drive to taste. and then give you amp a slight mid scoop, not a really, really sharp one (you're metalcore, not nu-metal. theres a difference.) Play with these and see what you find that sounds "right".
