Here's some new sound clips done using my Samson C01U to mic up my XBrand 15W amp. I would <3 to have some feedback on the general tone of my bass in the "Clean Reference" and the Hema's tone in the first 3rd of the "Hema/Goat/HemaGoat" sample. If you must bash my playing, feel free  . I expect it   My coffee gave out half way thru  The Bass: SX Jazz 5 sunburst w/ flats. Soloed bridge pup with the tone fully "open"/"on". The Chain: Boss TU-2 Chromatic Tuner -> Homebrew Electronics [aka HBE] Hematoma Bass Overdrive/Pre-amp -> Wounded Paw Attack Goat Bass Fuzz. The Clips: Clean Reference Goat only
The clips are tone at min (all the way left), then tone at noon and finally tone max Drive @ 9 o'clock, Blend @ Min Drive @ 9 o'clock, Blend @ Noon Drive @ 9 o'clock, Blend @ Max Drive @ Noon, Blend @ Min Drive @ Noon, Blend @ Noon Drive @ Noon, Blend @ Max Drive @ Max, Blend @ Min Drive @ Max, Blend @ Noon Drive @ Max, Blend @ Max Hema only
The Clips are as follows (6 parts to each):
1. Tone at Min/EQ shift set @ "open" (more treble)
2. Tone at Min/EQ shift set @ "closed" (more bassy)
3. Tone at Noon/EQ shift set @ "open" (more treble)
4. Tone at Noon/EQ shift set @ "closed" (more bassy)
5. Tone at Max/EQ shift set @ "open" (more treble)
6. Tone at Max/EQ shift set @ "closed" (more bassy) Drive @ Min Drive @ Noon Drive @ Max Hema using the built in boost
Tone @ noon and EQ Shift "open" in all clips. First part of each is with boost off, then boost @ noon, then boost at max. Drive @ Min Drive @ Noon Drive @ Max Hema (no boost) -> Goat
Hema settings: Drive @ 7:30, Tone @ 11 o'clock, EQ Shift "open"
Goat settings: Drive @ Max, Tone @ Min, Blend @ 1:30
First the Hema solo, then the Goat solo, then Both the Hema and the Goat Le Grande Clippage
Like I said at the beggining of this post, I'd love to get some feedback on the tone of the Hema in the last clip.

Ive actually been thinking bout replaceing the Goat, which I would prolly never use in a band, with something like a flanger. Beeg shwooshy. I like the Goat, dont get me wrong, but I just cant see it being all that usable with distorted guitars all 'round. |

That way you still have clean blend, still gets heavy as ****, cuts through well and doesn't have than nasty octave up. |

The "static" is actually the washer and dryer going on outside my door. I thought that they'd be far enough away/at an angle to the mic so that they wouldn't get recorded, but I was wrong  You can ever hear the EQ switch on the Hema.... and it was almost farther away than the louder appliences 
Its funny how most everyone (who's posted in this thread) hates the octave up thing on the goat.... |

The goat is cool for what I use it for: simulating guitar w/ bass when im messin around.
Even if the Goat went tho I would not sell it. I'd prolly use my tuner and it in a bi-amp setup for practice |
