Can someone give me a bass guitar solution to somewhat cop that bass sound? I think most of it is done with synth keyboard, especially since it looks like the keyboardist is playing the part (and I think I see a bass "resting" on a guitar stand somewhere on the stage). I don't want to spend much more than $150 on the solution, since it's only for one song. We are just a cover band trying to generally replicate this song.

Thanks,

It can be done with either but I think the original is all keys. Maybe a synth pedal (if you have one). If you have to have the synth vibe, just use a keyboard.

My band does this song and I roll my pickup blend to the bridge (jazz style bass) and either use it dry or I have a Source Audio Bass Multiwave Distortion Pro that I have programmed to get me that synthy sound.

I know its not going to sound the same, but i would use some kind of fuzz and a envelope filter maybe a octave also(if i didnt have a good synth pedal, which i dont!) i use a mammoth and a bassbals or now Enigma Qballs and it s alright
You might notice that it doesnt sound the same, but to 99% of the people in the crowd its going to sound close enough!

Actually thinking about it i would have used the mammoth and bassbals before, but now that i have the enigma i would use it with the distortion on and add the micro POG to it, that should do the trick and be good eough to fool people!
