I have a 24 fret 4 banger that I recently fixed up real well, and Im starting to like it more than my SX jazz 5. Its got more natural punch.
If I put a capo on the 2nd fret and play the A, D, and G strings (effectively B, E, and A), can I use the POG to "downtune" it an octave, but still keep the "punch" that the bass has? |

I like the Micro Pog a lot, but that's because when I use it, I want to sound like synth.

Honestly, it was on the chopping block, mostly cus I hadn't played it in a while. With the new tuning it sounds way better than before. It would be nice if I could capture the punch, but at a lower tuning.
Im not really sad or surprised that it wouldn't work. I've been playing a lot of Zep type stuff lately and the DGCF tuning fits it more
Quick EDIT: I imagine I could get the feel, but lower tuned on a 35" scale length. I just gotta find one thats passive |

I've played (in stores) 12 string basses, and have the Line6 Variax/POD that mimics (to a T) a Hamer 12 and an 8 string. The Micro POG clips sound VERY close to a real 12 string, not too synth-y IMO. I can't wait for the brown truck to drop it off, so I can give it a go with the band. I play with a 3 piece, and need to thicken up certain songs during the guitar solos.
