Micro Pog power

OK, someone please explain this...on the instructions page, it has this to say about the power jack:

9V Power Jack - Connect the output plug from the AC Adapter that was supplied with your Micro POG to this jack, located at the top of the Micro POG. The Micro POG accepts Boss style AC Adapters.

BUT...

Later on in the instructions, it says this:

WARNING: Use only the 9.6VDC/200mA AC adapter the Micro POG comes supplied with. Do not use any other AC adapters. Using other AC adapters, even those made by Electro-Harmonix, could cause harm to the unit, the adapter or you. The Micro POG does not use batteries.

So what's the deal here? When I saw that it accepts Boss style adapters, curiosity got the best of me and I tried it last night with the 1 Spot running all my other stuff, and it worked fine for a good couple hours. Is this a bunch of crap that you have to use their adapter and only their adapter? Or have I ruined it forever?

It needs 200mA, so a 1spot is fine since it's a daisy chain, but something with individually protected outs like the furman board I had which only put out a specific amount of voltage (such as 100 mA) won't give it the juice it needs, and make it sound like a dying cat. Lots of fun.

Power brick is not isolated. That what I used before I moved to the furman (and what I use now) which is what caused me the consternation of trying to figure out what the hell was wrong haha. Anyways, I switched its power supply to a 1spot and all was good.

Well that's odd they'd make such a big deal about the adapter if it worked with a 1-Spot. Thanks guys.

Jauqo, if you see this, sorry man, this is all news to me.

Yeah digital pedals require a lot more current than analog pedals. Daisy-chain style supplies will all work, as will any isolated supplies that meet the 200mA requirement.

I think they use the same template and nobody thought it important enough to change it. It also kind of covers their a$s if someone starts complaining about damage caused by totally bogus adaptors.

Mine seems to be working fine with my PP2. I don't need to flip any of the switches under the PP2 and reconfigure anything do I?

No, just keep it in one of the two higher-powered outputs.

My Ftjr seems to have issues with the micro pog, and my SMMH.

you'll know if the micropog isnt getting enough current, because it'll sound broken (and there'll be a background hum).

The Micropog is working ok with my FTjr at the moment, but i guess it all depends how much juice im sucking from it.
