Mini Qtron & Pedal Power

I've played the Mini Qtron before. I got a good deal on ebay. I'm waiting for it. I know it has a bit of a volume boost.
I'm planning on running my bass into my Planet Waves Tuner Pedal -> Mini Qtron -> Aphex Compressor-> the rest of my pedals.

I'm hoping the compressor will tame the spikes of the Qtron a bit.

My Question: Would running the Qtron off one of the SAG channels on my pedal power help with the boost? I thought I could run it at around 7 or 8 volts.

OR would that just give it a different "sound"?

A compressor placed after the Mini Q tron will work very well. I had a Punch Factory after mine and it really helped. Without the comp, the Q tron was way too loud when kicked in. great sounding filter though!
