It is very nice here and there are definitely some advantages but, it can be boring. Everything is a trade off. But, I can be in montreal in just over an hour and then come home and actually go for a drive to relax. Try that in chicago. Of course, thats about it.

LMB-3 died . . . fixed?!

My LMB-3 died at last practise. I lost the store receipt and Roland said 'too bad'. So I opened it up and found that the circuit board is loose and could make contact with the metal bottom plate. I installed a plastic sheet to prevent this and it seems to have fixed the problem. I am disappointed for this sloppy piece of engineering!!!

I've never seen that happen. Actually, there is supposed to be a clear plastic piece doing that already. They forgot to put it in.

I had the same thing happen to a Boss CH-1 Super Chorus that I bought from a guy on eBay. Actually, I think that's why he sold it on eBay and he scammed me...but I digress...Anyway, I tried the same type of insulation that you're talking about and it only worked for a short time and quickly failed. I hope your fix-it works. Mine didn't and I had to toss that Boss pedal in a dumpster.

The mod that the OP is talking about by Steve McKinley only seems to be around $50. He may be willing to repair your pedal.

I may send my Boss LMB-3 to him for the Thunder mod too. I usually buy my pedals used from eBay so I don't have much $ soaked into the pedal yet anyway.
