Modding a Swollen Pickle Hey guys, So, I'm planning to get a Swollen Pickle because I've heard it's a really versatile fuzz and I liked what I heard in test videos and the such, but I'm worried it's extreme bassiness might be a problem. I know it can't be warranted till I testdrive it on my own and in a band setting, but has anybody tried modding their own to reduce low freq response? did it work? is it possible? Any input would be great. Cheers! |
Using the filter knob and messing with the scoop and crunch, you can shift it away from very bass-heavy. For a smoother fuzz I'd definitely recommend it. I have an IE Oxide now and, as fantastic as it is, I miss some of the smoother fuzzies you can get. When I get a second pedalboard for more effects, you can bet I'm getting a Pickle again |

It's easy to dial out the bassiness in a Pickle. Here's an old thread that had some settings posted (mine included) to get you started: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f36/sw...ttings-673171/ |
Thanks a bunch, guys! Reassuring responses. Definitely getting the Swollen Pickle, then! |
