| | Registered User | | | | | I have a Cruncher .... It does take a little low end away .... not extreme but it does.
It sounds great running in a loop with a dry blend though (or a EQ after it) .... I use a LS-2.
I have a RAT clone on my board as well & the Cruncher can sound a lot like the RAT but more mid-rangy. |

EDIT: I just realised DarKBass is a distributor of Mooer pedals ... which makes my reverse engineering speculation irrelevant.

It tracked ok above the twelth fret on the G, and some higher harmonics, but for the most part just gave a high-pitched atonal pinging along with my original tone...almost like the string was being plucked behind the nut. There's a Youtube demo of the pedal being used on bass where it sounds awful...I figured it was a bad recording. Instead, it turned out to be exactly how it sounded for me.
That said, the guy i sold it to has had some better luck with it.
I will say that the "detune" mode did give a passable chorus sound, though.

Their distortions seem at least passable.
Has anybody tried out the Trelicopter? That seems cool, but I heard a report that you can hear a clicking sound from the oscillator bleeding through, which would be a deal killer.
And how about the phaser, does it nail that MXR phase 90 sound on bass?
Also, somebody mentioned getting these at $44 each... Mistyped? All I see is $88 everywhere. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
