Can anyone comment on the Blue Comp? I'd like to know how well it works with bass.

Me too! Haven't heard good things, but would love another opinion.

I saw one for sale on eBay UK. It was from a bass player who had decided very quickly that it didn't work for bass.

You may want to check ovnilabs website given we're talking compressors.

EDIT: Checked Ovnilabs, nothing there.

Today Green Mile and Ninety Orange arrived. Very interesting.

I think other people have commented on this, but I'll repeat it: the Green Mile sounds great in Hot mode, while the Warm mode is not so good on bass.

The Ninety Orange is a much more subtle effect than my other Phaser, a tweaked phaser DIY kit from Musikding. The first impression was that I was a bit disappointed because of that subtlety, but now, after some playing, I think it will do the job.

A couple of pics from NAMM suggest that pedals like the LoFi and Blues Mood are imminent. PIC 1 PIC 2

I'm hearing rumours that we may not ever see MarcMart and the like re-stocked with Mooer's, because Mooer are unhappy about the pedals being sold at below RRP.

I'm finding it difficult to square that with the fact that the number of Mooer's lister on MarcMart jumped up recently, even though the new listings don't appear to be in stock. It's almost like they're anticipating new stock.

Meanwhile I'm itching to try the Blues Mood and LoFi, and I'm trying to figure whether to pay the going rate on eBay or wait for MarcMart.

Anyone got any idea what's going on ? Hard info or idle speculation acceptable

Well, I really think the eBay RRP is not that bad. I know Joyo pedals has a going rate of half that price at times, but then shipping is usually higher.

What really amazes me is that there is money to be earned by going even lower. We are talking solid metal casings with professional finish, wrapping, true bypass switches etc. And some people have to make a profit.

Norwegian prices are higher than that eBay RRP. Probably due to shipping, VAT and a somewhat higher profit and cost margin.

There is a limit to how cheap something can be and still support a viable business model and an acceptable product quality.

I'm guessing that yellow comp is a clone of a Diamond Compressor ?

Hmm.... Not such a big fan of one knob compressors. I think I'll hang on to my Joyo Dyna Compressor for a bit longer. I like to be able to control attack and sustain separately. But I love that Micro DI, though.

Personally I'd like an alternative to the Shimverb. I rarely have any use for spring and shimmer reverbs, and the room reverb seems a bit limited.

Yes, I know what you're thinking: Reverb on bass?? Ok, that is a limited use, but on those few occations when you need it, there is no substitute...

Don't know if it suits your needs but there's now a shimverb pro I think .... the width of 2.5/3 mooer minis, loadsa knobs, but features are hard to work out from the fuzzy photos I've seen so far.

DI in a 1590A?! I had several builders tell me it couldn't be done. THIS one has my attention.
