A Mooer-sized (1550B), passive, ABY blender?

TITLE ERROR! I meant 1590A!

Hey folks,

Another quick question regarding blenders and my individual setup. Yep, I've searched. I know that active blending is the way to go. "LS-2! LS-2! LS-2!!!!" I've heard that one before, too! Here we go.

Firstly, I'm in a space bind on the board. Shocker, right?! Well, I'm at the point now where any changes aren't going to happen. I'm not moving anything off of my board to free space, and I just went to a larger board that I've been designing for almost 2 years. I'm also out of power spots on the PP2+ (even with daisychaining an outlet). I'm runnin' a daisy off of one outlet, and TWO other pedals on the auxiliary outlet. If it doesn't run on a battery, I can't power it, and using a battery isn't on my friendly list.

The start of my chain goes: Tuner > Wonderlove > (enter effects loop of WL) > Boss OC-3 >.....some other stuff .... I will be using the direct out on the OC-3 as my clean signal that will skip everything on the board and go straight to the proposed blender, before my PWNZOR at the very end. The effect out of the OC-3 will continue back to the Wonderlove and through all of my effects, until hopefully recombining with the clean signal immediately pre-compressor.

In a perfect world, I have a pedal built that is passive, has two inputs, and a single mono output. It would either have one wet/dry knob or two volume knobs for the clean and effected paths. Very simple design, possibly able to be adjusted with my foot.

I've read and read and read, and I think I know the answer, but I would really like some strong, argumentative input before I do this.

I've spent months and months on the board, with super attention to sound quality, neatness, and routing options. I gotta have something work with this particular setup.

Any and all info is greatly appreciated as always.

And as I say every time I start a new topic, I can't wait to have this all done so I can show you guys my board!

Cheers, TB!

T1M

T1M might have what you're looking for. Check out their micro blender option.

Thanks for the reply, but that looks powered, and it's a tad bigger than it needs to be.

Kinda weary of T1M stuff too...

The more I think about this, I probably could get away with a stereo to mono pan knob. Just a balance between the two inputs versus the output.

If handy with a soldering iron check out Beavis Audio and you can build a 100% passive mixer with just a few parts.

I think I've found my answer!

Passive Micro Mixer

Although I'll probably just look up the schematics and try to solder it myself or have another TB builder I know have at it.

Might be handy to have two of these things. I can see many situations where they would come in handy, especially with no power required.
