Yup - I own the ring mod. Absolutely amazing effect if you know what you're doing, terrible if you don't. I'm somewhere in the middle.

This particular effect isn't necessarily a good bass effect, but if the build and sound quality is any indication of the rest of their pedals, they are all incredible.

Moog is great stuff, but it's not perticularly user friendly. I think if you understand modular synths it'd be easier.

I've owned 3 of them, Freq Box, Ring Mod, and Bass MuRF. They're awesome when used as individual parts of a synthesizer, using CV to control them, but not that great as "effects pedals", especially on bass guitar. Maybe the Delays, or Phasers, or ClusterFlux, since those ARE effects, but for the most part, expensive semi-modular synth parts.

^ don't have the ring mod but the freq box and bass murf and I can definately see where your coming from

clusterlux lpf and delay are awesome on bass

Have a cluster flux. Awesome and versatile. Very big though and in this case not better but awesome nonetheless if you have space for one
