Reverse polarity alone doesn't mean you can't daisy-chain a particular pedal. Some pedals with positive-tip plugs (like older 9VDC EHX pedals) still work fine, because the circuit itself is wired "normally" - only the jack is wired differently.
However, reverse polarity
might (and in the case of barrel plugs,
usually does) indicate that there are common ground issues which will prevent you from powering your pedals if you try to daisy-chain them (i.e., positive-ground designs and the like). In the case of Moog, I can't remember if that's the case, but I wouldn't be surprised. Plus, like Line 6 and other weirder brands, they're not known to play nice soundwise even if they DO power on a daisy chain (i.e., noise).
Manufacturers tend not to use a reverse-polarity jack very much, and when they do, they're often trying to tell you something about the circuit's inability to play well with others.
